Since its release, the champion Viego has always been regarded as one of the most “buggy” champions in League of Legends (LoL). His power and mobility are only at an average level, but Viego has too many severe bugs, sometimes related to his abilities and other times stemming from interactions between Viego and various mechanics in LoL, such as items and buffs…
For this reason, there have been times when Riot had to continuously adjust Viego to make him usable in LoL.

Recently, the LoL community discovered another bug, although it does not directly involve Viego but is related to the item associated with this champion’s name. Specifically, this item is the Blade of the Ruined King.

According to the LoL community, it has been found that when players purchase the Blade of the Ruined King after already buying other items, this item will lose 5 damage points. Specifically, if the Blade of the Ruined King is purchased first, the player will receive an additional 300 damage from the item. But if purchased later, they will only receive 295 damage.
This discovery immediately caught the attention of the LoL community. The process of purchasing any item in a match depends on the opponent’s champion, the game situation, and the circumstances at that moment… And certainly, the Blade of the Ruined King is not yet a powerful item that must always be prioritized. If players receive less damage than usual just because of this, Riot will definitely have to take this issue seriously.

In the comments, Caenen – a well-known figure for spotting bugs and mechanics in LoL – also stated that the order of damage calculation and effects depending on the order of itemization is real. However, this person admitted that the damage calculation mechanism based on the opponent’s health of the Blade of the Ruined King has weakened the item if other items deal damage before it.
Additionally, Caenen also proposed a “quick fix” where players can sell the items bought before the Blade of the Ruined King, then undo the sale, thus restoring the damage of the Blade of the Ruined King to normal.

However, Caenen also hopes that Riot will soon fix this bug, and this sentiment is widely supported by the LoL community. But whether Riot will make any adjustments remains uncertain and no one can predict.
