HLE May Break Up
After the conclusion of the 2025 World Championship, alongside the excitement of T1 winning the championship, thus creating an “unbreakable” record in history, the League of Legends community is now focused on the transfer window. This year, many players will see their contracts end, and naturally, their decisions to stay or leave will have a significant impact on themselves and their teams for the upcoming season. However, while T1 and Gen.G remain relatively stable, HLE may be in for some changes.

There are many negative rumors regarding HLE’s roster. First is Viper. The 2000-born AD Carry has played for HLE for three years, but his best achievement is just the LCK Summer 2024 championship. This is because the First Stand and the LCK Cup are not considered major official tournaments. Meanwhile, HLE was bitterly eliminated from the MSI 2025 before it even started. The EWC and the World Championship were simply a series of disappointments.

Without discussing the credibility of the rumors, it’s easy to understand why Viper might feel disappointed. At this point, whether Viper wants to continue is hard to say, especially with numerous reports from the LPL indicating that many teams are ready to roll out the red carpet for Viper, while building an All-Star roster competitive enough for MSI and the World Championship.
Not only Viper, but his teammates may also be wavering. Peanut has retired, meaning the in-game leader of HLE is no longer present. As for Zeus, his contract is 1+1, meaning he will have the opportunity to renegotiate for the upcoming season. Delight and Zeka will also see their contracts end simultaneously with their teammates. Whether they want to stay or not is uncertain at this point.

If HLE Breaks Up, It Could Create a “Domino Effect” for Both the LCK and the League of Legends Scene
If HLE truly disbands, it wouldn’t just be a shock for the LCK but could also impact the entire professional League of Legends scene. Players like Zeus and Viper are top superstars in their positions. In a future where HLE disbands, each subsequent choice made by these players will make the entire 2026 season very noteworthy.
