Only a few days remain, and Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Season 7 will come to an end. While the community’s attention has largely shifted to the new season, there are still many players diligently working to improve their ranks before transitioning to Season 7.5. Numerous compositions have been frequently utilized by players, particularly among ranks Gold and below.

Among these, the Ranger – Shapeshifter composition is currently rated very strong with a high win rate (15.8% achieving first place and 58.4% making it to the top 4). However, not every player grasps how to effectively implement this composition, especially those struggling in the lower ranks.

Overview and Operation
This composition boasts high damage potential with key champions like Swain, Xayah, and at the final level, Shyvana. Additionally, it has excellent healing capabilities thanks to the Dragonmancer trait. The defensive strength is also sufficiently robust with resilient champions like Neeko, Gnar, and Hecarim, while also ensuring wide-area crowd control from Shyvana.

In the early levels, players can utilize champions such as Sett, Kayn, Nidalee, and Shen to create a balanced composition during this phase. If Swain is not available early on, Yone can be added to activate the Warrior trait for Shen. Moreover, Yone is currently considered a very strong 2-cost piece and can ensure players have a quality composition.

However, Swain, Gnar, and Ashe are three champions that players need to include in their composition as soon as they appear. Swain will ensure attacking power before players acquire Xayah. Meanwhile, Ashe will help trigger the trait, while Gnar ensures frontline defense. If Neeko is available, it should also be included immediately. Defensive items that increase armor… should be equipped for Neeko.

The late-game composition must include Xayah and Shyvana as they are the two primary damage dealers of the team. Adding Hecarim will activate the 6 Dragonmancer trait as well as enhance the team’s crowd control and multi-target attack capabilities.

Strengths and Weaknesses
This composition offers a variety of attack avenues, ensuring defensive capabilities. Furthermore, the ability to attack multiple targets helps this composition clear opponents more easily. Additionally, the good healing allows this composition to endure longer in each match.
The only weakness is that this composition heavily relies on expensive champions (Xayah 4 gold, Shyvana 10 gold). Therefore, if these champions are not acquired early, there is a high chance of losing in the late game.

Conclusion
Dragonmancer is at risk of disappearing from TFT in the new season. However, at this moment, it can be considered a strong trait. If combined with Shapeshifter and operated well, players can significantly improve their ranks quickly.
