Recently, on September 7, the Cambodian Esports Federation (EFC) officially announced the Esports events competing at SEA Games 32. There will be a total of 9 medal events across 5 Esports disciplines at this year’s SEA Games.
Accordingly, the 9 Esports disciplines at SEA Games 32 include:
1. AK2 (Attack Online 2) – Individual.
2. AK2 (Attack Online 2) – Team.
3. PUBG Mobile – Individual.
4. PUBG Mobile – Team.
5. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang – Men’s Team.
6. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang – Women’s Team.
7. League of Legends: Wild Rift – Men’s Team.
8. League of Legends: Wild Rift – Women’s Team.
9. Crossfire (PC).

Notably, the absence of the titles considered strengths of Vietnamese Esports, such as League of Legends, FIFA Online 4, and Arena of Valor, stands out. The gold medal of League of Legends at the last SEA Games 31 highlighted the significant skill gap between Vietnam and the rest in this discipline. Meanwhile, Arena of Valor is viewed as a two-horse race between Vietnam and Thailand, completely dominating Esports teams from other countries.
Another noteworthy point is that the new title AK2 (Attack Online 2) will also be brought by Cambodia to the next SEA Games.

Following the resounding success at the SEA Games 31, VIRESA is providing comprehensive support to help the Cambodian Esports Federation organize Esports effectively at SEA Games 32.
On May 23, 2022, a comprehensive support agreement between VIRESA and EFC was signed. According to the agreement, VIRESA will provide full support, share experiences, and inspire EFC to successfully organize the Esports discipline at SEA Games 32.

SEA Games 32 is expected to take place from May 5 to May 16, 2023, in Cambodia with 11 participating countries. Esports is one of the 39 sports selected to compete for medals. This will also be the third consecutive time that Esports has become an official competition at this event.
