The second round of the biggest League of Legends tournament of 2022 has officially begun. Today, the situation in Group A was determined, with T1 and Edward Gaming advancing to the World Championship (Worlds). T1 performed exceptionally well, securing the top spot in the group with convincing victories in all three matches. Despite facing some challenges, the T1 members stayed fully focused to bring pride to their Korean fans.

The standout player of the second seed from LCK is undoubtedly Zeus. Born in 2004 and lacking extensive international experience, this young talent from T1 delivered an outstanding performance, instilling confidence in his teammates when given heavy responsibilities. Immediately, Zeus had a brief interview after the group stage ended.

Reporter: Congratulations on reaching the Quarterfinals as the top team in your group. How do you feel about T1’s performance at this stage?
Zeus: We lost one match to Fnatic in the group stage, so there is a bit of disappointment. However, I am very happy with the 3-0 score today.
Reporter: You are gradually becoming the main carry for T1 this year. Can you describe your feelings about your personal performance in this World Championship 2022?
Zeus: I feel everything is going very well. My confidence may have dipped in the past few days, but I feel relieved that everything went back on track today.

Reporter: Now you will enter the knockout stage (Bo5), can you share about T1’s strategic depth and the potential for gameplay development throughout the tournament?
Zeus: We have been practicing hard since arriving in the U.S., and I feel everything is going in our favor. Therefore, I am very excited to head into the upcoming Quarterfinal match.
Reporter: In recent years, the finals have always featured one LCK team and one LPL team. How strong do you feel LPL is in this tournament?
Zeus: The LPL teams are very strong, but I think LCK teams are stronger. I hope to see a final match between LCK and LCK.

These were Zeus’s comments after T1 secured a ticket to the Quarterfinals of Worlds as the top team in Group A. An interesting fact about this guy: “Zeus only plays carry champions in the top lane, using 6 different champions across the 6 matches he has played.”
