These days, alongside the approaching MSI 2023, another highly discussed topic is the ASIAD Hangzhou. While the VCS has yet to complete its Spring Split and the PCS hasn’t attracted much attention, the LCK and LPL are currently the two most watched regions. Among these, the rumors surrounding the lineup of League of Legends in South Korea for ASIAD 2023 has sparked lively discussions among audiences both locally and internationally.

Many pieces of information have been released by Korean netizens on international League of Legends forums. However, neither KeSPA nor the mentioned players have made any statements or movements to confirm this information. Recently, another list emerged that has stirred the League of Legends community in Korea and internationally. Accordingly, the entire roster of T1 has been summoned for a training camp in preparation for ASIAD. Additionally, players Chovy, Peanut, Doran (Gen.G), Viper (HLE), Lehends (KT Rolster), and Deft (Dplus KIA) are also included.

At first glance, this list seems quite complete, gathering many big names from the LCK region. However, the list notably lacks two incredibly talented and famous names who have both won the World Championship, namely Ruler and BeryL. According to the poster, Ruler (currently in LPL) is unable to attend the training camp. Meanwhile, BeryL’s situation has not been mentioned at all.

Many viewers express doubt about the authenticity of this list. The reason is that BeryL, with his two World Championship titles and LCK achievements during his time with DWG, deserves to be called up this time. Meanwhile, Lehends and Viper have not performed as exceptionally as expected this Spring.

Of course, like all previous information, this list has yet to be confirmed by KeSPA. Therefore, the names chosen for the training camp of the LCK region in preparation for ASIAD remain a mystery. However, KeSPA is likely to make an announcement soon, especially with MSI 2023 approaching and many names on this list needing to prepare for the first international tournament of the League of Legends scene in 2023.
