A few days ago, Riot Games made the first revelations about the upcoming characters in League of Legends. Among them, the champion inspired by vampire legends will be named Briar. This character is being overseen by the League of Legends character design lead – Riot August.
Regarding Briar’s role, Riot August also revealed that she will be the new Jungle champion in League of Legends. The character’s design has intrigued many players. The reason comes from Riot August only sharing that this will be a female character. Additionally, the image introducing this new champion is quite ambiguous.
However, League of Legends players quickly discovered that Riot August had talked about Briar’s design previously. Specifically, the Riot leader has long wanted to create a character based on vampire legends. Furthermore, Riot August also shared that he is a huge fan of female characters in Japanese animated films. Therefore, he is very eager to combine these two elements into this new champion.
From this, we can imagine that Briar will have a quite cute appearance of a young girl. In fact, a former artist of Riot Games – Zeronis has produced some artworks believed to be sketches of this new character based on the girl-like appearance of Gwen. It is very likely that Riot Games will use this as a basis for designing Briar’s appearance.
Of course, the information mentioned above is still just a hypothesis from the League of Legends community. Players will have to wait until the end of 2023 to discover Briar’s official design. Hopefully, Riot Games will create a character interesting enough to attract League of Legends players to explore when this new champion is released.
