On May 11th, Bilibili Gaming (BLG) secured a straightforward victory against Cloud9 (C9) in the MSI 2023 Play-In Stage. The LPL representatives showcased their dominant power by convincingly defeating their opponent with a score of 3-0. This result allows BLG to advance in the winners’ bracket while C9 must seek opportunities in the losers’ bracket.

After the match, LPL fans expressed their sympathy for C9. They believe that BLG is currently too strong and that C9 was simply unlucky to face this team. Some LPL viewers even suggested that C9 wouldn’t have lost 0-3 if they had faced T1 instead of BLG in this Play-In Stage.
“Perhaps BLG is an extremely strong team in scrims as they play very smoothly. Moreover, C9 has quality Korean players, so their laning and early game movements are not significantly weaker than BLG. Just this alone makes C9 stronger than MAD or G2. If the opponent is T1, they would also find it hard to beat C9 just like BLG did,” commented one viewer after the match.

Fairly speaking, C9 had a decent start against BLG in the recent match. The two Korean players from C9, EMENES and Berserker, shone in the first Dragon fight, giving their team a significant advantage. However, C9’s movement and team fight organization faced quite a few issues, leading to them being heavily punished by BLG and resulting in their defeat.

However, we cannot assume that C9 has a chance against T1 just because of a few positive points. It should be noted that in the previous match, MAD even had a point where they led T1 by nearly 7000 gold but couldn’t defeat Faker and his team. Therefore, to accurately compare the strength of BLG and T1, fans will have to wait until the two teams face each other directly.
