For the carry champions in Teamfight Tactics, critical strike chance is an incredibly important statistic. This stat allows carry champions to deal consistent damage and increases their ability to finish off opponents. With champions dealing physical damage through skills becoming more prevalent in season 8.5 (Samira, Jhin, Ultimate Ezreal…), the importance of critical strike chance has grown even more.

However, Teamfight Tactics players recently discovered a severe bug regarding critical strike chance that makes Samira very weak at the moment. Specifically, the more critical strike chance Samira has, the less damage her skills deal. This causes Samira to not deal enough damage and makes it difficult to trigger the Carry effect.
According to YouTuber Le Duck’s tests, when Samira is a 1-star champion with only Infinity Edge, her skill will deal 17 – 34 damage each time to the main target. For targets behind, the skill will deal 15 damage. However, when this unit has 100% critical strike chance, it only deals a fixed 17 damage to the main target and 11 damage to the target behind each time.

Furthermore, this is not an issue exclusive to Infinity Edge, as Guardian’s Gauntlet also suffers from a similar situation. The cause may stem from some calculation error occurring between Samira’s skill and the critical strike chance statistic. The consequences are evident as players have seen that Samira with higher critical strike chance deals less damage.

Perhaps, Riot Games needs to urgently fix the aforementioned bug as it is making Samira quite weak. As for Teamfight Tactics players, it is advisable to limit the crafting of many items that increase critical strike chance for Samira at this time. Hopefully, this will help players avoid losing points unfairly due to Samira’s bug.
