Since her rework, the champion Neeko has quickly become one of the most popular names currently. Not only in ranked play, but even in the professional arena, Neeko has been experimented with in various positions. As of now, in the LCK region alone, Neeko is the only champion that maintains a 100% appearance rate in all matches.

Recently, at LEC Summer 2023, Caps of G2 Esports also showcased some “god-like” performances with the champion Neeko. Specifically, in a match against the very strong MAD Lions (MAD), Caps played Neeko in the Mid Lane. There were two moments where Caps handled Neeko that made the audience laugh but also had to admit Neeko is truly too strong.
First, there was an early-game situation when Caps used Neeko and transformed into a Siege Minion during a wave of minions. Of course, with some tricks that had been shared in the past few days, Caps’ opponent, player Nisqy, was very cautious. However, even though Nisqy’s Ahri still had more than 2/3 of her health, she could not escape when Caps used Flash combined with his ultimate to take down Nisqy in a combo.

After that was an ambush on the MAD players near the Tier 3 turret in the Bottom Lane. Caps was extremely patient, transforming into a Control Ward and executing an ultimate that hit 3 members of MAD. However, G2 could not secure a victory against their arch-rivals in this match.
Witnessing Neeko in the hands of Caps, the audience must admit that the decision to ban (or pick) Neeko in all matches of LCK Summer 2023 is completely accurate. The ability of this champion to create surprises is too high, while players may find it difficult to always use tricks to detect Neeko. Therefore, Neeko in the hands of experienced players will be even more dangerous.

However, one thing is for sure: Riot will not make immediate adjustments to this champion for at least the next 2 upcoming patches. Therefore, Neeko will likely continue to be a top-priority champion in the professional arena for a long time to come.
