GAM is perhaps the unluckiest team at MSI 2025
After GAM impressively defeated TALON in the lower bracket final, only to then face CFO in the seed 1 playoff in APAC (where GAM lost), not many VCS fans would have thought that GAM’s MSI 2025 journey would immediately face difficulties in their opening match. If it were Anyone’s Legends, perhaps the fans of Vietnamese League of Legends would feel more confident facing the Worlds runner-up – BLG at this moment. After all, AL would be an unknown factor, and GAM could potentially create an upset against this “rookie” of MSI.

This is because not only have they demonstrated complete superiority in terms of skills and battle experience, but more importantly, the BLG players are currently feeling their “pride” wounded after they just lost to AL in a match where they expected a dominating victory. It would be no surprise if GAM were to suffer the “wrath” from the LPL representatives.
Another factor to consider is that all matches in MSI 2025 will be BO5. This means that even if GAM could pull off a seismic upset and win a game against BLG, there’s no guarantee they will win the overall match. Moreover, as mentioned, due to their loss to AL, BLG will be very eager to have a perfect MSI, and GAM will be the first “victim”.

The other match of the opening week of MSI 2025 is also not surprising, as G2 appears stronger than FURIA due to their past performance and the current quality of their roster. Unless something unexpected happens, the G2 – BLG matchup will likely be the winners’ final of this MSI 2025 Play-In stage.
