The Power of Cassiopeia

In the latest patch, Cassiopeia has received significant buffs with a reduced ability casting time. This has caught the attention of Teamfight Tactics masters, who have discovered her incredibly strong core potential. Essentially, Cassiopeia’s abilities will deal an additional 30% damage to targets that have previously been afflicted with wounds.

Therefore, when paired with Teemo, Cassiopeia’s damage output is significantly increased during the mid-game. This leads to the creation of a team comp combining Noxus and Yordle, surprising many with its strength.

Building a Team Comp Around Cassiopeia

In the early game, players should aim to achieve the 3 Noxus bonus as soon as possible with Cassiopeia, Samira, and Kled. This activation grants important stats such as health, magic damage, and physical damage to help players secure a winning streak. Additionally, players should purchase Poppy to activate the 3 Yordle bonus later on.

Like other 1-cost 3-star core team comps, players will not purchase experience early on. This will increase the chances of obtaining 1-cost champions (Cassiopeia, Poppy, Samira) to level them up to their highest tier. Once the goal of upgrading Cassiopeia to 3 stars is achieved, players should level up to 6 and add Swain and Teemo to the comp. Players can even continue to look for ways to upgrade Kled and Swain to 3 stars.

After securing at least 3 champions at 3 stars and activating the Yordle effect, players should quickly level up to 8. At this point, high-tank champions like Shen, Sion, or those providing strong effects – Heimerdinger should be incorporated into the comp.

In terms of Legend choice, Lee Sin fits quite well with this playstyle as it helps upgrade the comp more easily. One small note is that players should choose Hextech Augments that provide combat power in the mid and late game to maximize the strength of 3-star champions. For items, Cassiopeia will need Blue Buff, Giant Slayer, and Hextech Gunblade. Tank items should be combined for Kled.

Conclusion

With her significant buffs, Cassiopeia is currently an extremely viable core champion to play. If players are looking for a fresh climbing strategy, 3-star Cassiopeia promises to be a perfect fit.
