When mentioning the most iconic duos in the LCK, many people will immediately think of Faker – Bengi. At one time, Bengi was referred to as Faker’s “third spell” which shows the closeness and synergy of the Jungle – Mid duo from SKT T1. Together, they are the only two players in the entire League of Legends world to have won the World Championship three times. This achievement remains unmatched to this day.

However, an unexpected truth: Bengi – Faker is not the most inseparable duo in the League of Legends scene despite having played together for many years. After successfully defending the World Championship title in 2016, Bengi decided to “advance to the LPL” and joined Vici Gaming. This marked the end of his career as a superstar Jungler. It also caused the Bengi – Faker duo to disband, paving the way for another duo to become the most inseparable pair in the LCK.

That duo is ShowMaker – Canyon, two crucial pillars of Dplus KIA. Specifically, in the highest-level tournament in the Land of Morning Calm, ShowMaker – Canyon have played together for 5 years (from 2019 to 2023). If we consider their time in the LCK CL, this duration extends even further. Notably, they are so important to each other that many experts and fans have stated: “If you want to recruit one of these players, you must recruit the other as well”. This is nearly “impossible” for many teams given the high transfer fees and salaries of these top-tier players.

Clearly, ShowMaker and Canyon can be likened to “Bach Nha – Tu Ky” – the famous close friends. The reason is that the performance and form of either one can decisively impact the performance of the other. Moreover, Canyon and ShowMaker likely understand each other well enough that if anyone else were to replace either one, it would send DK into turmoil. This team has also shown that they are willing to overhaul the entire lineup but will not touch Canyon – ShowMaker.

Soon, Canyon and ShowMaker will participate in their fifth World Championship together. DK is currently evaluated as the weakest representative from the LCK this year. However, on a day when this duo reaches their peak performance, any opponent, no matter how strong, must tread carefully.
