Swain’s Changes
In Teamfight Tactics season 9.5, Riot Games made a notable change to Swain’s abilities. Essentially, Swain can now use his ability in Demon form to gain additional health and deal damage to opponents. This allows Swain to take on the role of a “carry” rather than purely a tank.

Coupled with the introduction of Silco, Swain can become extremely resilient while still dealing a considerable amount of damage. This makes the Sorcerer comp much stronger compared to the previous tank build for this champion.
Building a Swain – Sorcerer Composition
At the start of the game, players should aim to have Swain and Soraka on their team. They provide powerful damage and healing to help players secure a winning streak. Additionally, adding Samira and Cassiopeia to activate the 3 Noxus trait is also a good strategy in the early game.

By the mid-game, players should add strong Sorcerers like Orianna, Taric, and even Silco if possible. These units will significantly enhance Swain’s durability to deal effective damage. Players should also stop buying experience when reaching level 6 to upgrade their carry to 3 stars as quickly as possible.

At the end of the game, players can add valuable 4-cost units like Jarvan IV and Shen. These champions will provide crowd control, tankiness, and create maximum space for Swain to deal damage.

For the Legend choice, Poro is the option players should utilize to increase the chances of receiving the Demon core for Swain. In terms of items, Swain will need Dragon Claw and 1-2 Celestial Staffs to boost damage. Additionally, Silco should have Blue Buff and Morello’s Tome to counter popular Fighter compositions.
Conclusion
With significant adjustments from Riot in season 9.5, Swain has become a relatively stable carry champion with the Demon core. If players are looking for a fresh climb strategy, Swain is an excellent choice at this moment.
