On October 10th (Vietnam time), the first matches marking the official start of the World Championship (Worlds) 2023 will take place. With a year filled with special events in the League of Legends scene, the tournament Worlds 2023 is highly anticipated as the grand finale of the year, wrapping up another tumultuous year. Additionally, there are countless records and achievements waiting to be established, as well as glories awaiting players to fight for.
Of course, the LoL community has various ways to cheer for their teams. Recently, renowned artist in the LoL scene – Kyoffie released his annual cheerleading artwork for major events in the LoL community. For those who don’t know, Kyoffie is an artist known for creating highly sensual artwork. However, during each Worlds or MSI, he also produces artwork that is just enough to cheer for all participating teams.
Notably, Kyoffie will not release all the artwork at once. This artist usually divides his cheerleading artworks by event, starting with the Play-In Stage and then moving on to the main event. Recently, Kyoffie released a set of images featuring the teams participating in the Play-In Stage of Worlds 2023 and some of his favorite teams like FNATIC, Team Liquid, and Cloud9. Remarkably, both GAM Esports and Team Whales also appear in the artwork.
On October 10th, GAM will be the first team from the VCS region to compete, facing off against the champions from CBLOL – LOUD. This is a familiar opponent for LoL viewers, as they have had impressive performances at Worlds 2022. However, the VCS teams have never faced LLLL, so this could still be an intriguing mystery of this year’s tournament. On many forums, CBLOL and North American fans have placed their trust in LLL, believing they will perform better than GAM on the first day of the two teams.
Of course, to reach the Swiss Stage, GAM must put in their utmost effort. A “manageable” group does not mean they can afford to be complacent, especially as even if they surpass LLL, they will still face PSG Talon and Movistar R7 waiting ahead.
