Overview of the New Vanguard Shredder Composition
Currently, TFT Season 14 is nearing its end with the meta almost solidified and not many changes expected. This season can be considered quite balanced, as most champions offer power commensurate with their cost. Additionally, the highest system activation threshold allows players to have special “guaranteed win” skills. In this context, the new Vanguard Shredder composition could be a choice for players who still enjoy the “hyper roll” playstyle to get their desired team.

The new Vanguard Shredder composition will revolve around 2 low-cost champions, Kog’Maw and Skarner. To add some magic damage early game, Fiddlestick will be included. The crux of this composition is to get the key champions to level 3 stars while ensuring players have a solid frontline based on Vanguard champions.
Building the Vanguard Shredder Composition
Overall, the composition will still rely on strength from 2 sources: the Shredder champions tasked with tanking and damage, supported by the 4 highest-cost Vanguard champions. However, in the early game, players need to have at least 4 – 5 Kog’Maw champions and must have Skarner for tanking.

Moving into the mid-game, activate the Vanguard system with champions like Jarvan IV, Sylas, and Vi. If you can roll out Leona early, you can swap her in for Sylas. Additionally, Kindred will be the champion to activate the Marksman trait for Kog’Maw. Adding Fiddlestick for extra magic damage is a reasonable choice to get through this phase.

In the late game, players must roll for a 3-star Kog’Maw and 3-star Skarner. Additionally, complete the composition at levels 8 – 9. If possible, having the Shredder emblem will be a significant advantage. Focus on rolling key champions for the late game like Cho’Gath and Urgot to finalize the composition.
The Vanguard Shredder composition at level 9: Kog’Maw – Kindred – Fiddlestick – Skarner – Cho’Gath – Urgot – Leona – Jarvan IV – Mordekaiser/Braum

Strengths and Weaknesses
This can be seen as a “breath of fresh air” composition, and players should only apply it when rolling out many Kog’Maw and Skarner. Otherwise, do not focus heavily on 1 or 2 low-cost champions as these units may easily “fizzle out” in the late game.
On the bright side, the frontline of this composition is quite strong and will provide enough time for Kog’Maw, Kindred, and Fiddlestick, Urgot to deal damage easily. Additionally, Cho’Gath’s tankiness increases over time, making it suitable if the match drags on.
