Currently, League of Legends (LoL) fans around the world, especially in Vietnam, are focusing their attention on the 2023 World Championship (Worlds) taking place in South Korea. Notably, with both representatives from VCS having to compete in the Play-In stage this year, this phase has drawn even more attention from the local audience. Recently, GAM Esports had a less-than-favorable start, while Team Whales achieved an unexpected victory against Team BDS, a representative from the LEC.

However, while GAM and TW are on duty at Worlds 2023, drama continues to follow the VCS region, capturing the attention of the fan community. Specifically, former GAM player Divkid has recently come forward to accuse former GAM coach and his old mentor, JackieWind, of intentionally sidelining him during the time when GAM was selected as Vietnam’s representative for the SEA Games 31.

According to Divkid’s accusations, Coach JackieWind did not give him the opportunity to play at SEA Games 31 without the intervention of teammates, specifically Levi. Additionally, when Divkid’s parents traveled from their hometown to Hanoi to support him, he initially requested to play on stage for them to see. However, when Coach JackieWind placed him in a room without an audience, his teammates had to step in to ensure Divkid could play one match on the SEA Games 31 stage. Fortunately, this match qualified Divkid to receive a Gold Medal.

The former AD Carry also mentioned that Levi took on the main role of drafting, while the current GAM coach HanKay diligently analyzes data for the team. Meanwhile, he implied that Coach JackieWind was merely a “puppet” with the role of… “providing support.”

Divkid’s revelations surprised many viewers, but some acknowledged their reasonableness. This is not the first time Coach JackieWind has been involved in drama regarding his coaching methods and relationships with players. Currently, the coach remains silent in response to the allegations from his former student.
