GAM Faces Challenges at EWC 2025
In recent days, MSI 2025 has reached its final matches, and the Esports community, particularly League of Legends fans, has turned its attention to the upcoming tournament, the Esports World Cup. This year, all teams participating in MSI will be present, with LCK adding Hanwha Life Esports. However, according to the recent group draw, the VCS community, especially GAM fans, might be feeling hopeless: GAM will be in a group with CFO, HLE, and MKOI.

Among these three opponents, it seems that only MKOI might give VCS fans some hope for unexpected outcomes. In contrast, based on recent performances, even CFO could potentially dominate the VCS representative. As for the LCK representative, there isn’t much to discuss.
In fact, right after seeing GAM’s group, many VCS fans genuinely believe that the yellow-black team won’t achieve a satisfactory result at the upcoming EWC. Especially considering that at the recent MSI, GAM didn’t perform particularly well and merely managed to create some surprises. If GAM were to face off against CFO or HLE at this point, it might be an overwhelming challenge.

But the VCS Community Will Still Support GAM at EWC 2025
Of course, the VCS community will continue to wholeheartedly support GAM at the upcoming EWC 2025. Riot’s new formats not only help this publisher save on investments, but for GAM and Vietnamese League of Legends, it’s also an opportunity to compete on high-quality stages. Therefore, whatever the result, Vietnamese League of Legends fans won’t feel burdened.

The remainder of the League of Legends group stages at EWC 2025 will have to wait until after MSI 2025 concludes and the top 4 teams finish their journey in Vancouver this year.
