Recently, during the Swiss round of the 2023 World Championship (Worlds), the fourth seed from the LCK region – Dplus KIA faced off against one of the toughest teams in the world, which does not belong to the LCK/LPL. That team was G2 Esports – the reigning LEC champion and one of the few names outside of LCK/LPL that can challenge the “giants” from these two regions.
And indeed, G2 showcased that they are a “nightmare” for any team that faces the “hope of the LEC”. Although the game was not overwhelmingly one-sided, key players from DK like ShowMaker and Deft had items, but just one misstep (in this match, it was Canna), G2 seized nearly all the advantages, from Water Dragon Soul, Baron to Elder Dragon. G2’s victory was not too surprising while DK would face many difficulties in the loser’s bracket.
However, the community discovered that G2 also received a “special” powerful buff just before the match against DK. Specifically, before the match with DK began, female streamer and cosplayer Plumy checked in with G2’s Worlds 2023 jersey along with words of encouragement. Right under the post of the beauty, many opinions also suggested that Plumy’s “buff” was indeed very strong. In fact, G2 is determined to stay undefeated with this “buff”.
For those who don’t know, Plumy is a Korean female streamer and cosplayer, and she has a close relationship with the former jungler of G2 – Jankos. In fact, Jankos once traveled to South Korea just to have a chance to talk and hang out with Plumy. Unfortunately, although Plumy and Jankos are actively “shipped” together, they couldn’t become a couple.
