Former T1 Star Reminds His Old Team
One of the most anticipated events in League of Legends for 2025, the EWC, has officially kicked off, and on the very first day of competition, we can consider the group stage phase concluded with no surprises. Among the teams that secured a spot in the Quarterfinals early, HLE had the smoothest journey, only facing two weaker opponents: CFO and MKOI. After advancing to the Quarterfinals, Zeus shared his thoughts directed towards T1.

Accordingly, Zeus stated: “We did not perform well and missed the recent MSI. However, thanks to T1 winning the EWC last year, we are here this year, and we are very grateful to T1 for that. We do not want to face any specific opponent, but we aim to win against everyone, even if it’s the four strongest teams from MSI.”
Notably, Zeus is a member of the T1 roster that won the EWC 2024, which was T1’s first international title last year, prior to their crowning at the World Championship. Therefore, for many viewers, it can be said that in a way, Zeus is also paying tribute to his former self from last year.

– Zeus is also paying tribute to himself
– But Zeus is the one who won the EWC with T1
– This year, aim to win again, Zeus
Zeus May Face T1 Soon
In the Quarterfinals, HLE will face AL – the number one seed from LPL, who have performed impressively in their first MSI. With such a challenge, it won’t be easy for HLE to secure a victory. However, there is still a possibility that HLE might overcome AL. Their next opponent, if they reach the Semifinals, will likely be T1, the reigning EWC champions, who will only face either CFO or MKOI.

This will be a highly anticipated matchup. In their last encounter, HLE suffered a surprising 0-3 defeat against T1. Therefore, it seems that the HLE members, especially Zeus, are eager to avenge T1 and dispel any doubts before the second phase of the 2025 Regular Season officially begins.
