Another Superstar Addresses Gen.G’s Issues
Perhaps until now, for many, especially Gen.G fans, the loss to KT is still very hard to accept. They not only lost due to poorer performance, but also the drafting phase showed no breakthrough. In a do-or-die match, even when entering the pivotal round, Gen.G remained “calm as usual”. Duro had previously spoken out about Gen.G’s issues, and recently, Kiin shared almost the same sentiment.

According to Kiin, “There is a really big issue with our drafting. We couldn’t make the right choices that would allow us to play comfortably in matches. We all noticed that KT prepared much better than Gen.G. Right now, I just want to tell my teammates that everyone did well, we tried our best.”
Previously, Duro also commented on Gen.G’s loss, and the Support of this team pointed towards the team’s draft choices. In reality, one doesn’t need to be a superstar or a coach to see that from the drafting phase, Gen.G’s composition was much harder to execute than KT’s. Especially in the two decisive rounds, Gen.G allowed KT to secure very strong champions. Meanwhile, Kiin had to use Yorick, which is out of the meta, while Chovy’s Anivia didn’t have much impact.

Gen.G May Experience Significant Roster Changes
With what the Gen.G players have shared, it is evident that a major issue lies in the discord over the drafting choices between the coaching staff and those who will execute those choices in the matches. In fact, the disbandment of Gen.G’s coaching staff is also a topic many fans are discussing, especially after one of the reasons for Gen.G’s defeat was attributed to drafting.

However, Gen.G may also be hesitant because if there are any changes at this point, it may not necessarily improve their performance at next year’s World Championship.
