As reported, during a recent annual Esports awards ceremony in the Asia region, one of the awards was presented by Toyz. For those who don’t know, Toyz is the champion of the 2012 World Championship with Taipei Assassins. However, recently, he has become even more famous due to suspicions of drug possession and use. There were even reports that Toyz had been arrested, but his appearance at the award ceremony indicates that he was likely just under supervision without any heavier punishment.

However, Toyz’s appearance infuriated Godtone – the oldest player in the League of Legends scene and one of the most toxic players in the VCS region. Previously, both Toyz and Godtone had exchanged insults and engaged in back-and-forth battles every time they appeared on stream. Together, they created some of the noisiest arguments in the PCS, and now, Toyz was the one to announce the award and present it to Godtone. Unsurprisingly, Godtone exploded with anger, incessantly criticizing Toyz and left abruptly afterward.

After being attacked by Godtone, Toyz took a very surprising action. Specifically, the former 2012 World Champion recorded a video of himself smashing the 2012 World Championship ring that Riot gave to champions. At the same time, before smashing it, Toyz apologized and stated that this action signifies he “will never return to Esports again, not even to attend events.”

Toyz smashed the 2012 World Championship ring and declared his complete farewell to Esports
Many viewers were truly shocked by Toyz’s “ruthless” action. In fact, he was even criticized for being overly dramatic. Because regardless of the current situation, the World Championship ring symbolizes the efforts of Toyz and the entire TPA team years ago. This act is no different from self-destruction, and without Toyz needing to confirm it, it is certain that he will also find it hard to return to League of Legends or Esports.

Additionally, according to some reports, Toyz caused local authorities some trouble due to a PR stunt “going underground” by allowing him to appear at the aforementioned Esports event. Moreover, Toyz may face more penalties than just smashing a ring and declaring his retirement from Esports.
