In League of Legends, as well as many other games, the use of hack tools or third-party software and applications has become a common issue. However, these hack tools do not necessarily allow players to use skills through walls or see opponents while they are invisible, but they still provide certain advantages. For example, Xerath can land his ultimate without missing, or hack tools can help players dodge enemy skills… Additionally, for Riot, the use of skin mods is also included in the same category as using hack tools in the game, and players may face penalties for this.

However, despite Riot’s disapproval of these actions, they have not implemented adequate measures to completely prevent this issue. Alongside this, many hackers or even players themselves have found loopholes to continue manipulating the game. Therefore, recently, according to some insider information from the League of Legends community, the Vanguard system from VALORANT will officially be applied in League of Legends starting in 2024.

For those who may not know, the Vanguard mechanism from Riot first appeared and was fully applied to the game VALORANT. At that time, this fps game combined with MOBA was seen as a new innovation, integrating many technologies that Riot had not applied to other games, with Vanguard being a prime example. This application proved to be quite effective in the early days and truly helped VALORANT create a better environment. However, problems began to arise when many hackers found ways to ‘bypass’ Vanguard, forcing Riot to continuously modify and enhance this application.

According to information from Spideraxe – a well-known channel in the League of Legends community, Vanguard is currently being tested and will soon be implemented. When this happens, if any abnormal activities are detected in the game, resulting from the use of hack tools or unauthorized direct intervention in the game, the offending player’s account will be immediately locked. At that point, the match will end, and the remaining players who are not involved will be taken out to the waiting queue without losing LP.

It is unclear exactly when Riot will officially apply Vanguard to League of Legends, but this is something that many League of Legends players have been looking forward to. Of course, Vanguard is just a tool, and Riot will need to keep a close watch to prevent hackers from finding ways to ‘bend the rules’ even with strict measures in place to combat hack tools.
