If we had to find the most exceptional player in the VCS right now, many would immediately think of the name EGO. In reality, those who have followed the VCS for a long time can clearly see that EGO is one of the finest Junglers in the VCS since the era of Levi. During the golden age of Team Flash and in the championship of CERBERUS Esports, EGO’s contributions were significant. However, due to both objective and subjective reasons, the young player once dubbed the “successor of SofM” has lost everything.
Recently, in a major forum of the Vietnamese League of Legends community, EGO expressed his desire to return to competition. In fact, EGO is even willing to compete in the VCS B league, as long as there is a team willing to accept him. However, EGO’s post contained some noteworthy details, such as admitting that he “worked for three months but felt unsuited for the job” or that he might be banned for “5 to 7 matches” after speaking with Riot.
However, the community’s response to EGO’s post was one of exasperation. Most fans find it hard to accept EGO’s return to professional League of Legends, especially since not long ago, he expressed regret about becoming a professional player. Additionally, in his post, EGO did not address the issues regarding his physical and mental state that he faced previously. These psychological issues are one of the biggest barriers for the former CES star following the troubles he has encountered.
Moreover, EGO has been out of competition for a while, and there’s no guarantee he will return at 100% performance. Coupled with the aforementioned issues, it seems that having a team accept EGO would be a rather risky move, even if it were in VCS B. However, when faced with community backlash, EGO even responded with some negative remarks.
At this point, EGO can only regret for himself as he has been given many opportunities but has squandered them all. The reasons are not solely on him, but his “self-destructive” behavior in numerous impulsive situations has truly led this player to lose points in the eyes of fans. Currently, EGO’s post has also been deleted.
