At this point, as the previous generation of players is aging and their performance is declining, along with the widespread “youthful roster” policy being implemented by many teams, selecting young players has become a priority in the professional League of Legends scene today. Notably, successful cases with young line-ups are not rare, and T1 is a prime example. Following T1’s case, several major teams like KT Rolster and Gen.G have also included young stars in their rosters.

An interesting fact from the recent “Telecom War” was that both teams utilized very young Top Laners. After the match, when Zeus completely dominated PerfecT, many viewers realized a shocking truth about these two players. Specifically, Zeus and PerfecT were both born in 2004, making them the youngest Top Laners in both age and career in the LCK SPRING 2024 as of now.

However, from this discovery, many have realized just how lucky T1 is to have acquired Zeus from the youth team. The T1 Top Laner has shown remarkable maturity even in his first season at LCK – Spring 2022. After some ups and downs, Zeus has demonstrated significant improvement. At the recently concluded 2023 World Championship, Zeus was only 19 years old and was one of the youngest players to win the tournament.

As for PerfecT, although he is the same age, he has only recently begun to “step into the spotlight” after the departure of his talented and veteran predecessor Kiin. PerfecT’s playstyle is rich in skill and youthful enthusiasm, but in many matches, he has shown moments of being overly aggressive and making unnecessary deep dives. Nevertheless, PerfecT has performed well, being named MVP of the match twice. He definitely has the potential to develop further in the future.

The LCK is undergoing a gradual and planned rejuvenation. However, many “young sprouts” have emerged with certain achievements. These players are rich in developmental potential and promise to follow in the footsteps of their talented predecessors in the near future.
