Currently, the LPL Spring 2024 Group Stage is nearing its conclusion with not too many surprises. Specifically, the top three teams in the tournament, including BLG, JDG, and TES, continue to demonstrate their superiority over the rest of the competition with impressive statistics. These are the strongest candidates for the championship title of LPL Spring 2024.

For TES, securing the 3rd position on the leaderboard after undergoing a complete overhaul at the beginning of the year can be considered a success. Stars like Tian, JackeyLove, and 369 have also shown high performance recently. In fact, if this team wins against NIP in their final match, they have a solid chance of claiming the 2nd spot from JDG.

Despite their good performance, TES is facing significant pressure from fans. Recently, during their matches, many fans staged a “protest” demanding the dismissal of coach Despa1r. Even the team’s manager, Guohao, has been criticized by fans for how the team has been constructed lately. The LPL audience was also quite surprised to see TES fans “pressing” the team like this.

Indeed, if one closely follows TES’s matches, it becomes evident that this team has encountered numerous issues with their gameplay. In their most recent match against AL, TES was completely overrun in the first game and the early phase of the second game. Only when AL made mistakes and “threw the game” could TES finally secure a victory. Notably, this scenario has occurred multiple times, highlighting significant gaps in TES’s game control.

Perhaps this is why TES fans are “pressing” the team and demanding the dismissal of their coach. Currently, there have been six coaches in the LPL who have lost their jobs during the Group Stage. This is a record for the number of coaches being dismissed in the LPL, as personnel changes typically occur only at the end of the season. If the fans continue to apply pressure as they have, it is highly likely that TES will either fire coach Despa1r (or he may resign himself). If so, the LPL will set a record with seven coaches dismissed in a single season.

With their current position, TES will have about 1-2 weeks off to prepare for the LPL Spring 2024 playoffs. Perhaps only winning the championship (or at least securing a spot at MSI 2024) can appease the angry fans of this team. Hopefully, TES will perform well in the upcoming period to prevent any more unfortunate coaching dismissals in the LPL.
