The TFT meta has undergone significant changes following the recent 14.7b update.

Bard – Mythical

Recently, Bard had been continuously nerfed and became extremely weak at the beginning of patch 14.7. However, after the buff in patch 14.7b, Bard has made a powerful comeback, helping the Mythical composition lead the TFT meta. In fact, most of the Bard-centric compositions are significantly stronger since the launch of patch 14.7b.

Moreover, the recent critical nerf aimed at Yone has also significantly strengthened Bard. Combined with the current meta that heavily features tanky champions and prolonged team fights, Bard is thriving. Therefore, if players can acquire Bard early or obtain items like Infinity Edge or Rapid Firecannon, this champion will help players climb ranks extremely quickly.

Kai’Sa and Friends

It is no exaggeration to say that Kai’Sa and the Shadow Coven trait are the most favored composition by Riot Games in the recent patch. Not only has Kai’Sa received buffs, but the Shadow Coven champions have also become much stronger with significant stat increases. As a result, compositions involving Kai’Sa are exceptionally powerful in the current patch 14.7b.

One of the most effective ways to play Kai’Sa right now is to combine the 4 Marksman and 4 Brawlers traits. This will provide Kai’Sa with substantial attack speed from Sivir and Kayle (3 Keeper trait) and allow her to cast her abilities freely thanks to the resilient Brawlers. This playstyle is currently trending in the LPL Super Server with remarkable strength.

Shen “Bluetooth”

Although designed as a tank, the Balanced Blade item core enables Shen to become a very strong carry. However, the energy lock mechanism during the ability’s duration has caused Shen’s carry form to have a long downtime in dealing damage. Therefore, despite having considerable potential, Shen carry was quite weak before patch 14.7b.

Nevertheless, Shen has become much stronger now that the energy lock mechanism has been changed. Specifically, as long as Shen lands 3 empowered attacks before the ability expires, he will no longer be energy locked. This allows Shen (especially in the carry role) to continuously activate his abilities and deal massive damage. A small note is that players should combine 2 Guinsoo’s Rageblades to effectively execute this playstyle.

Conclusion

After a series of adjustments, the 3 compositions Bard – Mythical, Kai’Sa and Friends, along with Shen “Bluetooth” have become exceptionally strong in the current meta. If players want to climb ranks quickly and effectively, these are the best options at this moment.
