As we know, VCS is going through a very difficult phase as match-fixing allegations have cast a shadow over the recent Spring tournament. Notably, all 8 teams have players under investigation, forcing the teams in the playoffs to urgently search for replacements. In fact, some legends have had to dust off their keyboards and return to compete, such as Optimus and SofM. The immediate benefits have shown that the playoffs of VCS Spring 2024 quickly attracted significant attention, not only from VCS fans but also from the international League of Legends community. However, the upcoming issues are what truly matter, specifically as MSI 2024 approaches.

As it stands, GAM Esports will represent the VCS at MSI 2024. If Riot allows the VCS to have a representative for this event, the current concern is which roster GAM will bring to China, assuming both Blazes and Pyshiro are cleared of any wrongdoing. Recently, a member of GAM’s management, Izumin, shared information in a related post about this team. According to him, the COO stated that the playoffs roster will also be the roster for MSI 2024 and there will be no changes.

However, many fans of GAM are quite worried because at MSI, no team would use players who are just getting accustomed to the “grassroots league”. Not to mention, the match against Vikings Esports clearly showed that both Emo and EasyLove lost their lanes decisively. If it weren’t for VKE having to play 4 against 5 when Fireblade was completely outplayed by Kiaya, and Shogun making mistakes in many crucial situations, GAM might not have emerged victorious.

Furthermore, other teams have certainly studied GAM thoroughly from the recent Spring season. Therefore, they will know where GAM’s weaknesses are to exploit. At this year’s MSI, the VCS champion can only rely on the performance of Kiaya – Levi and hope that Emo and EasyLove can perform their best, assuming COO Izumin’s revelations are accurate.

VCS has been and is going through some very tough times. And perhaps, many fans just hope that GAM will do their best at the upcoming MSI to bring hope back to the Vietnamese League of Legends scene amid ongoing negative allegations with no end in sight.
