In recent days, following the conclusion of MSI 2024, the League of Legends community has quickly shifted its focus to new events, notably the upcoming Hall of Legends alongside the release of skins honoring Faker on his induction into the “Hall of Legends.” For VCS fans, the period before the Summer Split is still lively, with a series of news regarding LCK players preparing to visit Vietnam. Additionally, on the evening of May 23rd, Slayder officially announced his transfer to Nigma Galaxy, becoming the first VCS player to compete in the Arabian League.

According to information from the website LoL Fandom, NGX will welcome two new players on May 22nd (Vietnam time), namely RAMES (Jungle) and Slayder (ADC). Additionally, on this team’s roster, Slayder is the only ADC. Therefore, with a personal post indicating that Slayder received his visa on the evening of May 22nd, many VCS fans hoped that Slayder would debut on the first day of the Summer Split. Despite the tournament starting quite late, many VCS fans stayed up late to cheer for Slayder.

However, in the end, the VCS ADC was unable to make it for his debut match at NGX and the Arabian League Summer Split right on the tournament’s opening day. NGX’s Top Laner Boda had to temporarily fill in for the position. This left many VCS fans disappointed as they did not get to see Slayder showcase his talents in a new uniform.

However, in reality, this situation is completely understandable. Slayder officially announced his transfer to NGX on the evening of May 23rd. If he only started flying to Arabia on the evening of May 22nd, it is likely that he would not settle in until the late afternoon of May 23rd. Therefore, given the long journey and being a new player, it is understandable that Slayder did not compete on the opening day of the Arabian League Summer Split. Furthermore, NGX’s opponent was One More Esports, a team that is not too strong, having finished the Spring Split 2024 in the… bottom position.

With the need to settle into a new life, adapt, and begin practicing in a completely new environment, it may take 2 to 3 matches before VCS fans have the chance to watch Slayder compete. This will be a significant challenge for the Vietnamese ADC, but it will also be an opportunity for Slayder to step out of his comfort zone and thrive in a larger arena.
