One of the most notable events of 2024 is the Hall of Legends system to honor players who have contributed to the world of League of Legends. Naturally, since Riot began revealing this mechanism, almost the entire League of Legends community League of Legends has unanimously agreed that the first name that must be included in the HoL is Faker. There is no other possibility, as even neutral audiences and fans of rival teams of T1 must admit: Faker is the G.O.A.T of the League of Legends scene, both in terms of titles, expertise, and influence. It is absolute dominance that leaves no room for debate.

Of course, to celebrate Faker’s induction into the Hall of Legends, Riot has carried out numerous activities, such as releasing the HoL skin collection and various introduction clips, from trailers to the official video. It’s safe to say that the scale is on par with the international events organized by this publisher. Notably, Riot also created a clip capturing the thoughts of prominent figures in the League of Legends scene regarding Faker. The clip features personalities from top Riot officials, players who have been teammates and rivals of Faker, as well as famous casters, hosts, and reporters. Notably, Levi from GAM Esports also made an appearance in this clip.
However, the clip produced by Riot for Faker includes all the names that have shared glory with Faker throughout his magnificent career, especially the players who have been alongside Faker during the glorious years of 2015 – 2016, such as Bang – Wolf, Impact, and others. Yet, there are still some omissions. The most regrettable absence for the audience in both the congratulatory clip for Faker from LCK and Riot is none other than Bengi.

While both Bang – Wolf and Impact, Ambition, Ruler… were present, the complete absence of Bengi has left many people nostalgic. When they competed together, Bengi and Faker were the most powerful Jungle-Mid duo in the world, having won 3 World Championship titles together. Bengi was even regarded as Faker’s ‘third summoner spell,’ and after Bengi left SKT T1, the reign of the king began to fade.

Since the 2022 World Championship, Bengi has nearly faded from the scene. The ‘God of the Jungle’ from SKT T1 and the League of Legends community has quietly disappeared. But perhaps, on the day his close teammate won the 2023 World Championship and then entered the HoL, Bengi could finally smile in contentment.
