Faker Sets a “One-of-a-Kind” Milestone in League of Legends History
Throughout his career, Faker has achieved numerous milestones, records, and both team and individual accomplishments that perhaps no other player can match. Faker’s influence is no longer confined to League of Legends or the LCK but has spread across the entire League of Legends world and esports in general, even reaching into other entertainment and sports fields. Recently, with his influence, Faker has achieved a “one-of-a-kind” milestone: becoming an actor in a Kpop music video.

According to official confirmed information, Faker will make a cameo appearance in the music video “Ceremony” of the famous South Korean boy band Stray Kids. The content of the MV will likely revolve around popular sports worldwide, with the group members acting as athletes. Therefore, it is impossible to exclude esports, particularly League of Legends—the game in which Korean teams have dominated for many years. And when discussing League of Legends or esports, one cannot overlook Faker.

Notably, Faker will be the first League of Legends player to appear in an official Kpop music video that is not produced by Riot or associated with any of Riot’s tournaments. Previously, the images of Faker, along with many other players, had appeared in K/DA or various promotional products for the World Championship.
Faker’s Influence is Growing Larger
It can be said that this collaboration between Faker and Stray Kids will not only help the Kpop group’s MV gain more popularity but also affirm Faker’s influence. At the same time, this may open up a new career path for esports players in general and League of Legends players in particular. Traditional sports have already seen athletes participate in music video productions; this concept is still quite novel in esports.

Who knows, in the future, not only Stray Kids but also Faker may appear in many more MVs. Additionally, not just Faker, but players like Gumayusi and Chovy may also become actors in music videos, or even beyond that, it is entirely possible.
