Bin Blames Riot for ‘Helping’ T1 Despite Self-Destruction

BLG's Top Laner Makes Controversial Remarks About T1.

In a recent showdown between Bilibili Gaming and T1 at the Esports World Cup 2024, T1 secured a victory with a score of 2-1. Notably, the reigning 2023 World Champions played exceptionally well with innovative picks and resilience, even though they trailed in the decisive game with many advantages on the opponent’s side. T1’s win also sent BLG packing after just one match. However, it is worth noting that the performance of the LPL players did not meet expectations, especially in key positions like Knight and Bin.

However, BLG’s Top Laner made a controversial statement after the match. Specifically, he stated: “I always feel that T1 is still very strong. Although we beat them at MSI, I always thought they were particularly powerful. And perhaps this patch suits them well.” Accordingly, the Top Laner of BLG seemed to shift the focus to T1, suggesting that Riot’s patches had “helped” Faker and his teammates significantly in this match.

However, the reality is that it was the performance of the BLG players that led to their defeat. Bin did not win a single lane against Zeus throughout all three games unless Xun or ON frequently came to assist him. Similarly, Knight could only tie with Faker in lane but was unable to impose his playstyle or create enough space for rotations. Elk and Xun are not worth mentioning. In both of T1’s winning games, both players had very inconsistent performances. In fact, even after clearing most of Oner’s jungle in game one, Xun still made a mistake that led to their subsequent loss.

In fact, T1 executed the job they have consistently done for many seasons: playing with discipline and maximizing every mistake from their opponents. The BLG players themselves failed to capitalize on their advantages, making their defeat completely understandable.
