Recently, information about TFT Season 12 was revealed by Riot through clips, quickly drawing the attention of the gaming community worldwide as well as in Vietnam. Notably, in this new season of TFT, there will be a mechanism referred to as Charms. These are upgrades that players can acquire for gold, and depending on their cost, they have different effects. Among these Charms, one particular name is causing quite a stir in the TFT community in particular and League of Legends players in general. This is the Charm that grants players a 5 gold 3 star champion after they “sacrifice” 66 health points and 99 gold.

For TFT players, 5 gold champions are very powerful, and even a 5 gold 2 star champion can be enough to “dominate the board.” However, a 5 gold 3 star champion is extremely rare because each 5 gold champion only has 18 versions, and the odds of rolling one are incredibly low, along with facing competition from other players, making a 5 gold 3 star champion a rare sight. In fact, very few players can witness the maximum power of these units. Therefore, possessing a 5 gold 3 star champion in your lineup almost guarantees victory.

However, the contentious issue here is that the conditions for Charms are too difficult. To “sacrifice” 66 health points, players need to have around 70 health or more. The next condition is to have 99 gold in hand. Assuming a player has a long winning streak from start to finish, their opponents would have to be at very low health or even eliminated. Moreover, accumulating such a large amount of gold typically requires an extremely long winning streak, along with certain Technology Augments that provide gold. But if that’s the case, the champions on the board may not be strong enough since they are unlikely to be upgraded to the highest level.

Furthermore, when players have powerful champions or have just upgraded champions, in the late game, opponents can easily “check” the board. If they discover that the opponent has a 5 gold 3 star champion, many players will choose to… surrender immediately if there are only 2-3 opponents left in the match. Thus, players put in a lot of effort but may not even get to see the effect of this Charm.

It can be said that with the two mandatory mechanisms for Charms to function as mentioned above, this will likely be one of the most useless Charms in the match. As many players have commented, unless for the purpose of creating content or experimentation, this Charm will hardly be operable in actual combat.
