The backstage issues and personal lives of Esports players always attract significant attention from the community, especially when it involves romantic dramas. In the past, whenever such dramas erupted, both the player and the team were affected. Previously, the “main characters” were usually known for their professionalism, caution, and even fame. A notable recent example is Clid, the former SKT T1 star, whose situation in 2023 led Hanwha Life Esports to lose a talented jungler, while Clid himself put his career on hold.

Notably, Clid’s case stemmed from a player-female fan relationship. Recently, the Esports community in South Korea was once again shaken when another female fan accused a player of grooming, with even more serious developments, yet the player did not employ any safety measures. Alarmingly, this female fan is not yet of legal age. She stated in her post that after the incident became public, she contacted the male player as well as his team.

Additionally, the male player has been accused of infidelity (with an ex-girlfriend) while still in a relationship with the aforementioned female fan. The team managing the male player has also confirmed that they will terminate his contract immediately if the victim agrees. This situation has caused outrage and disappointment among many Esports fans, both in Korea and internationally. However, since the female fan has not disclosed the identity of the “offender,” it remains unclear who the player is, which game he competes in, or which team he belongs to.

However, some information later emerged from the online community asserting that the team in question is the VALORANT team from DRX. Immediately, the representatives of this team had to post a denial to prevent rumors from spreading further.

Nevertheless, the situation remains a hot topic, and everyone is looking forward to a fitting response for the player who is believed to tarnish the image of Korean Esports as well as his own team in the eyes of fans.
