Gen.G Utilizes “Feng Shui Power” for Worlds 2025

While all other League of Legends teams around the world are still preparing to fiercely compete for domestic championships and spots at Worlds 2025, Gen.G has already completed one-third of the journey. With the MSI championship, they are the first team to secure a spot in China this October, and currently, Gen.G is focusing on their domestic journey and trying to ensure the number one seed. However, a recent sign shows that Gen.G is eagerly anticipating Worlds 2025.

Specifically, recently, Gen.G has also been the first team to introduce the jersey design they will wear at Worlds 2025 to the League of Legends community. This year’s jersey for the MSI champions will feature black as the main color with some white patterns on the body and sleeves. Gen.G’s new jersey design is considered quite “cool”. However, according to some opinions, it heavily reflects… “feng shui”.

Notably, after T1 crowned champion at Worlds 2023 and 2024, they used two different jersey colors each year, black and white respectively. In 2023, the dominant color was black, and in 2024, it was white. Importantly, in League of Legends history, when a team wins with a white jersey, the following year, the champion team will have a jersey color different from this white. Therefore, it can be understood in some way that Gen.G wants to leverage both “spiritual factors” for their upcoming journey.

Gen.G in a “No Turning Back” Situation

After many years of investment, with what can be called the strongest lineups in the League of Legends scene each year, Gen.G still remains “unlucky” at Worlds. This year, even this lineup has been invested in even more strongly, with the return of Ruler, along with the Support who is considered one of the best in the world currently, Duro. It can be said that Gen.G is currently stronger than last year, and if they do not win Worlds 2025, it may be the last chance for Chovy to touch this trophy.

Chovy probably doesn't want to wait any longer for his first Worlds championship in his career.

A “star-studded” lineup will require titles to accompany it. And the biggest title in League of Legends is undoubtedly Worlds. This is also Chovy’s “obsession” and he is placed in a “no turning back” situation; only a Worlds championship can satisfy Gen.G and their fans at this moment.
