Gragas
First appearing in February 2010, Gragas is arguably one of the oldest champions in League of Legends. However, this champion was completely overlooked by the development team of Teamfight Tactics in the past 4 seasons. It wasn’t until Season 5 that Gragas finally had the chance to participate in Teamfight Tactics.

In the upcoming Season 5, Gragas will have a cost of 1 gold with the tribe – system being Divine – Brawler. With the skill Excessive Drunkenness providing damage reduction and a slight damage boost to the next attack, Gragas will play a tank role in the early game. This champion appears to be quite weak in the later stages of the game due to a lack of crowd control or good damage output.
Udyr
With a design of a powerful martial artist, Udyr is very suitable for tribes – systems like Wild, Brawler… in Teamfight Tactics in the past. However, it wasn’t until Season 5 that Udyr made his first appearance in this “auto chess” game. Unlike Gragas, Udyr is an incredibly effective damage dealer for his cost of 1 gold.

To say the least, this is the most important piece in the early game for the Warrior composition in Season 5. The reason is that Udyr can deal significant damage, is extremely resilient, and effectively hold items for Jax.
Ryze
It’s no exaggeration to say that Ryze is the first “Mid Lane Mage” that players get to know when starting with League of Legends. This shows that Ryze has been around in League of Legends for a very long time and has somewhat become an icon of the game. However, this champion had to wait until Season 5 to make his debut in Teamfight Tactics as a 4-gold champion. Ryze has not appeared in “auto chess” in the previous 4 seasons.

Ryze’s power in Season 5 largely comes from the very strong tribe – system. With the possession of 3 tribes – systems including Undead, Rebirth, and Mystic, Ryze can provide many beneficial effects for the composition. For example, a bit of magic resistance from the Mystic system can help the Rebirth composition with many key pieces not get taken down too quickly, for instance. Additionally, Ryze also has crowd control ability from his skills and can help players effectively manage the opponent’s key units.
Heimerdinger
After a very long wait, Heimerdinger has officially appeared in Season 5 as the “final boss” of the Dragon Tribe. This champion is also a prerequisite for players to reach the 5 Dragon Tribe threshold and earn valuable rewards. Not stopping there, Heimerdinger also possesses the ability to deal extremely high damage thanks to the Dragon Trainer system and the skill Upgrade!!!

With the Dragon Trainer system, Heimerdinger will create a little dragon with an attack speed equal to this unit. With just a Guinsoo’s Rageblade, both Heimerdinger and that little dragon can deal a lot of damage already. Furthermore, the Upgrade!!! skill deals damage based on the target’s maximum health. Therefore, this champion can provide a considerable amount of damage for the composition even at just 1 star level.
