Former Coach Roach Expresses Admiration for ZOFGK Lineup
In the history of LMHT to date, only SKT T1, later rebranded as T1, has successfully defended their World Championship title. However, T1’s ZOFGK lineup is even more special, as they never changed their roster after winning the Worlds championship. It’s no exaggeration to say this lineup is “unprecedented” and likely will never be repeated in the history of professional LMHT. Recently, former coach Roach — who was part of the coaching staff for the ZOFGK lineup that won two Worlds titles — expressed deep respect for his former players.

According to former coach Roach: “To this day, I still admire the mindset of T1’s players (ZOFGK). Honestly, once you win Worlds even just once, people often develop the mentality of ‘That’s enough for a career.’ That’s quite common. But their hunger for victory and spirit feels endless. They just want to keep conquering and winning.”

Roach played a crucial role in the ZOFGK lineup that won two consecutive Worlds championships. After he left to fulfill mandatory military service, the team faced significant challenges. Coupled with Zeus’s departure and management’s questionable decisions regarding Gumayusi, the ZOFGK lineup dissolved and likely won’t reunite again.

But Each ZOFGK Player Has Their Own Goals
Currently at T1, the trio Oner – Faker – Keria still play together, while on the other side, Gumayusi has reunited with Zeus under HLE. Soon, ZOFGK members will face each other in a different context, as rivals competing for the crucial LCK slot to represent the region at MSI. In this decisive match, there will be no holding back, as both teams aim for ultimate victory.
