Faker rarely shows helplessness on his stream
Those who frequently climb the ranks in League of Legends will recognize a truth: sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you can’t turn the game around if your teammates have lost the will to play. They might be genuinely bad, or they might simply be “bored” after feeling the match is already lost. And it’s not just regular players—recently, even Faker experienced this feeling of helplessness.

During a late-night ranked climb stream on June 3 to early June 4 (KST), Faker suffered a four-game losing streak. Notably, in 3 of these 4 games, he used his signature champions—those that once helped him dominate not only ranked but also LCK matches. After the consecutive losses, Faker went offline earlier than usual. Throughout the stream, he was unusually quiet and did not interact with fans as he normally does.

Before ending the livestream, Faker helplessly commented: “Maybe part of it is that my health isn’t great right now, which affects my mood. I think I’ll meditate a bit and go to bed early. Also, there are too many mosquitoes here, but probably the losses affected me too. Anyway, I’m really grateful to everyone who supported me throughout the stream. But today I really didn’t play well. Or maybe Riot is trying to ‘push’ me down to Master tier.”

– Rarely do we see Faker like this
– It’s been a long time since Faker expressed this kind of frustration
– Take more rest, you don’t always have to stick to such a grueling schedule
Faker Faces Growing Pressure
In reality, T1’s second half of the 2026 LCK Rounds 1-2 group stage went very well, with only one loss to HLE and wins against teams like Gen.G and KT. However, the intense schedule, combined with facing HLE again in Round 3 of the Road to MSI 2026, is weighing heavily on Faker and T1. One more loss could jeopardize T1’s chances of qualifying for MSI 2026, especially with KT, Gen.G, and even DK waiting in the lower bracket.
