As is well known, in the early hours of September 16 (Vietnam time), TeamLiquid officially became the world champion of The International 2024 in DOTA 2. What’s noteworthy here is that the Carry player of TeamLiquid – miCKe is discovered to be a Vietnamese player. According to miCKe’s parents, they are both of Vietnamese origin, and this player along with his family always communicates with each other in Vietnamese despite having settled in Sweden for a long time.
Therefore, miCKe’s championship with his teammates at TI 2024 quickly became the focus of the Vietnamese gaming community. Especially when miCKe’s mother celebrated with her son wearing a shirt featuring the Vietnamese flag, which has become an incredibly beautiful image recently. This victory for TeamLiquid is even more meaningful as they defeated their “arch-rival” named Gaimin Gladiators. It’s worth noting that before TI 2024, miCKe and his team had lost to this team in 5 grand finals since 2023 to date.
DOTA 2 Legends Enthusiastically Praise miCKe and His Signature Hero Nature Prophet
In addition to the outstanding performance of TeamLiquid as a whole, fans also recognized that this team effectively utilized the strong heroes in the TI 2024 meta. Notably, in the recent grand final, miCKe used Nature Prophet in all three games and helped his team secure convincing victories. You definitely should ban Nature Prophet in the next encounter with TeamLiquid because you’re not that foolish” – Admiral Bulldog lamented after witnessing miCKe’s outstanding performance with Nature Prophet at TI 2024.
Admiral Bulldog himself is called a “legend” of DOTA 2 thanks to the hero Nature Prophet with a TI 2013 championship. Perhaps witnessing miCKe’s exceptional handling of this hero made him recall his own prime. Therefore, Admiral Bulldog used the same comment that was once used about him to honor miCKe as a recognition of the younger player’s talent.
