Being a renowned streamer in Vietnam, when starting the cyber cafe business, Win.D had certain advantages due to his understanding of the user base. Therefore, his Win.D Gaming cyber cafe system has developed rapidly, and most recently, the Win.D Gaming & Billiards complex was inaugurated a few months ago in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City. This is also one of the few cyber cafes that combines various entertainment options, including a bar, billiards room, cyber cafe, and even an Esports competition stage.

Win.D Gaming confidently understands and caters to the needs of various types of gamers
Hello Win.D, first of all, thank you for conducting this interview. My first question is, can you introduce your chain of cyber cafes?
– Win.D Gaming is a system of 8 modern cyber cafes, a luxurious and youthful Internet Cafe space targeting Gen Z with many integrated amenities. Currently, there are 7 branches in Ho Chi Minh City and 1 branch in Buon Ma Thuot, Dak Lak. Win.D Gaming has a total of nearly 2,000 computers with various configurations and a range of amenities that can meet all customer requirements.
The Win.D Gaming brand at this Thu Duc branch combines billiards, PS5, and a movie theater – all activities that are very popular with today’s youth. In your opinion, what is the brand’s direction for this combination?
– From the first branch in District 10 that was put into operation in 2022, Win.D Gaming was fortunate to receive support from a large number of customers, from youths to hardcore gamers grinding for ranked matches, from MOBA games like League of Legends, DOTA 2 to sports games. Additionally, many people come to support because they are fans of Win.D.
The customer base is also very diverse. Some customers always come alone, while others come in groups… At that time, the management and administration noticed that most customers chose Win.D Gaming because it was easy to sit next to each other. To seize the opportunity, WDG has products like double chairs, competition rooms, PS5,… These are products that allow customers to play together. In the past, when you went to a cyber cafe and sat too far apart, it felt incomplete.
The billiards offering is a new product model at the Win.D Gaming Thu Duc branch, aiming to reach more customer segments, as well as providing customers with more options while waiting for their computers, for instance.
The Win.D Gaming system is constantly improving with distinct features
Can you share about the facilities of the Win.D Gaming cyber cafe? And what characteristics does your brand have that create a difference?
– For those who have been following, Win.D is a PUBG streamer and YouTuber, with many highlights as well as strong comedic moments every time he streams. Therefore, the Win.D Gaming system has also been influenced by this to some extent. The initial idea of the management was to focus on serving customers who enjoy playing FPS games. Thus, I pay great attention to the monitors and resolution, which type of mouse, keyboard, and headset will be suitable for playing FPS games like PUBG, VALORANT, CSGO, Overwatch,… Of course, gamers of other genres still have different machines suitable for their personal requirements.
Notably, Win.D has also enhanced the couple cyber cafe system. Win.D has emphasized this at the Binh Thanh facility (which is also the second facility of the system after the District 10 branch). Before Win.D Gaming, many other cyber cafe systems also had this. However, they usually just had a few machines. Win.D focuses entirely on a system dedicated to the couple cafe model.
Of course, Win.D also ensures that there are no activities beyond control. Moreover, creating a space for couples who share a passion for gaming is also an interesting thing, and this is likely the desire of many gamer friends.
In your opinion, coming from being a famous streamer and having experienced many games, is this an advantage that helps you easily grasp the trends and preferences of Vietnamese gamers, especially the youth?
– Win.D thinks it’s not just because he is a streamer that he has received such support from everyone. Being a streamer/YouTuber is just part of the reason; there are also several other famous individuals who open restaurants or cafes but do not receive much support from customers or fans. If we put it precisely, it might be: “Because Win.D is a gamer, Win.D became a YouTube streamer, and because Win.D is a gamer, he decided to create the Win.D Gaming system to serve Vietnamese gamers.”
I started off just like everyone else, being exposed to computers and the famous games of the 90s like Võ Lâm, Thiên Long Bát Bộ, Kiếm Thế, Đột Kích, Boom,… From there, I had the opportunity to develop in the gaming industry in general.
But it’s true that since I was young, Win.D was a top-notch gamer, spending 16 hours a day in the cyber cafe just to grind games, only going home late at night to sleep (laughs). So perhaps the experiences, insights, and the dream of having the best cyber cafe of my own when I was young have greatly helped Win.D at this current stage.
With young people having the opportunity to own gaming setups at various price points, meeting gaming needs from basic to high-end, do you think this is a challenge for cyber cafe systems? And what activities does Win.D Gaming have to attract and retain customers?
– Personally, Win.D thinks that in the next few years, it will not affect the Win.D Gaming system specifically and the internet cafe market in general. Because fundamentally, for me, customers who support or frequently visit an internet cafe do not do so because they lack computers, but because they need a shared space to mingle with others who have the same interests. Win.D sees many customers who initially come alone but later become friends with other customers in the cafe, and now they intend to form a team to compete (laughs).
Until now, Win.D has always required the management and staff at WDG to provide meticulous, polite, and thoughtful care and service to customers. This has always been the guiding principle for the WDG system to attract and retain customers.
And what are Win.D’s next plans for Win.D Gaming?
As for the plans for WDG, Win.D will also organize tournaments for customers of the WDG system, add events to connect customers, and in the near future, may establish a professional team to compete in upcoming tournaments. In addition, Win.D is always looking for new ideas to improve his cyber cafe system, thereby creating attractiveness for current customers as well as attracting new customers.
