GAM’s ADC Unveils “Unbelievable” Secrets Behind the Scenes
In the 2024 season, the VCS has faced numerous upheavals, especially with the “match-fixing scandal” that has led to a series of players and coaches being banned from a few months to three years or even permanently from all activities related to League of Legends. Even GAM Esports, the top team in the Vietnamese League of Legends scene, was not spared from this situation. Amidst this backdrop, they had to rapidly build a lineup with new faces like Emo and EasyLove. Surprisingly, the ADC “EasyLove” has performed exceptionally well since his return to the old team. With his signature champion Jhin, EasyLove is currently playing remarkably for GAM at the 2024 World Championship.
Recently, after finishing the Play-In stage of the 2024 World Championship with GAM, EasyLove shared some insights about his journey with GAM, especially since this year has been quite tumultuous, and he likely never thought he would have the opportunity to participate in both MSI 2024 and the 2024 World Championship.
Accordingly, the player humorously referred to by VCS fans as GAM’s “Decoy ADC” stated: “There are 3 things I am always proud of. First is faith. Whenever I face challenges beyond my control, I always chant sutras and pray to Buddha. I have been doing this for the past 7 years. Next is family. I promised my mother that I would win the tournament, and I think about that every time I prepare for a match. And finally, my teammates. I lost trust in my previous teammates. But at GAM, I have people I can truly trust.”
GAM Prepares to Face a Tough Journey Ahead
EasyLove and GAM have identified their first opponent as FlyQuest – the champions of LCS Summer 2024. Although this is considered the easiest opponent among the 4 seed 1 teams that GAM could face, FlyQuest’s achievement of winning the LCS should not be underestimated. Moreover, compared to the opponents that GAM has overcome in the Play-In stage, FlyQuest is on a completely different level. This will be a significant test for GAM’s ambition to reach the top 8 at this year’s World Championship.
In this context, EasyLove may have to compete for his position with Neo – who is also very familiar with the LCS. Of course, “EasyLove” may still be prioritized because he has performed well.
