Kiaya Personally Praised by Riot’s Director
Since the days of Optimus and Levi, VCS has always produced players with exceptional talent compared to the rest of the Vietnamese League of Legends scene. However, many of these players have struggled to make a breakthrough, or only have a “championship in the hearts of fans.” Nonetheless, there is one name that not only possesses innate talent but also “chose the right civilization” to now become a representative of the new generation and potentially the future leader of his team, namely Kiaya – the Top Laner of GAM Esports.
At the 2024 World Championship, although Kiaya couldn’t help GAM achieve better results than last year and was eliminated before the Swiss round ended, he still stood out as an exceptional player for GAM. Recently, the Project Director of Riot in the APAC region also praised the Top Laner of VCS: “Personally, I think if Kiaya plays in the upcoming LCP, he will be the best Top Laner in the region. PCS also has some good Top Laners, but none of them have reached Kiaya’s level in terms of impact on the game and carrying the team.”
Kiaya Still Has Many Opportunities to Develop
In the current GAM lineup, perhaps only Levi is on the downward slope of his career. Although Kiaya has been competing for many years, he is currently at the peak of his career. Therefore, opportunities for him to grow further still exist. For now, if GAM competes in the LCP next year, it will be the perfect opportunity for Kiaya to showcase himself against international representatives such as PSG Talon or Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS gaming.
But more importantly, if Levi truly “retires” after the 2024 season, Kiaya will have a new role. At that point, people may be able to assess Kiaya more accurately when he no longer has a reliable captain by his side and must become the leader of a team that is always seen as the pride of VCS.
