GAM’s defeat is hard to accept for VCS fans
On the match day of September 6th, two VCS teams took to the field against two familiar names from PCS, namely CFO and PSG. Facing CFO, the TSW team was not expected to perform well. However, for GAM, they were not only the “VCS’s last hope” but also faced PSG, a team they had defeated multiple times this season. Yet, on a day when PSG suddenly played exceptionally well, GAM made mistakes, and the finals at Tien Son Pavilion in Da Nang could see all three VCS representatives miss out.

While TSW even managed to make an effort and earn a win against CFO, GAM almost completely “self-destructed” in both games. In fact, PSG was ready to offer GAM a powerful combo of Rumble – Maokai – Yone, along with the “comfort pick” Kai’Sa for Artemis. It can be said that PSG almost gave GAM a 100% handicap in the draft phase. However, GAM could not secure a single win.

The VCS community doesn’t need to say much; disappointment flooded the viewers watching the matches of TSW and GAM, especially the “big brother” of VCS. Everyone knows that CFO is too “outclassed,” but PSG is not a team that GAM cannot defeat. In fact, many times during the broadcast, commentator Hoang Luan also felt disheartened.
Notably, in both games, GAM had opportunities to win. And that is the truly regrettable factor. GAM lost not because they were completely annihilated by their opponents, but rather because when hope was present, the VCS representatives “self-destructed.”

GAM and the other two VCS teams have no way back
Currently, it is almost certain that there will be at least one representative from VCS at the World Championship, as DFM appears too weak, and it will be difficult for the LJL representative to cause an upset. However, the complete dominance of PCS at Tien Son Pavilion is a concerning alarm. When PCS just needs to regroup, VCS representatives are simply losing completely, even though GAM and teams like TSW or MVKE had their chances.
