A “storm” awaits the former LCK champions after Worlds 2024
Since 2021, Gen.G has continuously made significant investments aimed at achieving titles. In reality, this team has dominated almost entirely in LCK and even secured an MSI title. However, at Worlds, things have not gone smoothly. Gen.G’s highest achievement remains only a semifinals finish. They even lost with a score of 1-3 against their “favorite” opponent T1. This is not the first Worlds for either Peyz and especially Chovy. This does not embody the spirit of a championship-contending team, nor of players who will reach the highest throne in the League of Legends realm.
With the highest expectations, Gen.G has equipped their two core players with the best, and the result is disappointment. It can be said that the “storm” that Gen.G is preparing to face soon, the most anticipated pair of players must also bear some responsibility.
