Faker’s Humble Interview Responses

As one of the most experienced players in the League of Legends scene and the “G.O.A.T” of the game, interview questions have never posed a challenge for Faker. However, there have been numerous instances where his excessive “honesty” or humility has left even his fans feeling both amused and bewildered.

While everyone understands that Faker harbors no hidden meanings in his public statements, there are moments that can leave many people feeling speechless. This was evident in a recent conversation he had with South Korean volleyball player Kim Yeon-koung.

Specifically, while discussing his titles, Faker admitted: “I feel that my achievements are quite meager. But I debuted in 2013 and won the championship right then and there. So I am both the youngest and the oldest player to ever win the World Championship. Perhaps those are the titles that make me the happiest and most nostalgic.”

Guests Left Speechless, Fans Amused by Faker

Even the talented South Korean athlete was “stunned” when Faker admitted that his achievements were “relatively poor”. At this point, Faker is the player with the most championships and Finals MVP awards in the history of the World Championship. As for the fans, it goes without saying that most opinions reflected a sense of being “speechless” regarding their idol’s “humble, honest” sharing.

With his victory in the 2024 World Championship finals, Faker has set numerous historical milestones in League of Legends that may never be broken. For instance, he is the first player to successfully defend his championship title twice, and the first player to achieve Finals MVP twice in a World Championship final. It can be confidently stated: if Faker’s achievements are “relatively poor”, there will be no one else in League of Legends worthy of being considered accomplished.

The guest interviewing alongside Faker was also “no ordinary person”. Kim Yeon-koung is regarded as the greatest volleyball player in South Korea. In 2021, according to South Korean media statistics, Kim Yeon-koung ranked 6th in the world among the highest-earning female volleyball players. At that time, she earned about $800,000 annually (over 18 billion VND – based on 2021 exchange rates).
