Special Scene in Arcane 2
In the early days of November 2024, Riot officially released the first three episodes of Arcane 2 – an animated series based on the legends of Runeterra in League of Legends as well as the backstories of the champions. This series begins with the story of a series of familiar characters (Vi – Jinx, Caitlyn, Jayce…) from the two lands of Zaun and Piltover. The story continues into part 2 and is very well received by the audience. On the review site Rotten Tomatoes, Arcane 2 holds a 100% fresh rating.
Not only that, the audience is also focused on spotting the “easter eggs” that appear in the film. One of them is in a scene where Caitlyn’s pose immediately reminds viewers of a familiar image – the oath pose of the Survey Corps from the legendary “dark” manga/anime: Attack on Titan. Perhaps not only fans of this work but even those who love other manga/anime are well aware of the pose of the members of the Survey Corps in AoT. And those are also the legendary scenes from the famous anime/manga series that ended a few years ago.
Arcane 2 Expected to Surpass Season 1
With the initial positive feedback, Arcane 2 is expected to surpass even season 1. However, as known, in a recent report, Riot has confirmed losses from producing both seasons of this famous series. But the positive reactions from the audience might “save” the fate of Arcane season 2 in some way.
As for Riot, they will likely observe viewer reactions and the revenue from season 2 to decide whether to produce additional seasons. League of Legends is a vast world with many different lands. Each place has stories worth exploring, but it would be meaningless if Riot does not gain any benefits from producing these films.
