Faker and LCK Stars Still Have a Chance to Participate in ENC 2026

As widely known, recently KeSPA and the organizers of Esports Nation Cup 2026 had a serious disagreement regarding the selection of representatives for South Korea’s national team to compete in the year-end tournament. KeSPA accused ENC of excessive interference in their selection process, calling it an overreach of authority. At that time, many speculated that ENC wanted to specially select certain players, with Faker as the core. However, currently, the issue seems to have been resolved.

ENC and KeSPA have reconciled.

According to the latest news from Sheep Esports and KeSPA itself, the organization and ENC 2026 organizers have “made peace” and their cooperation will resume following the announcement. Thus, all Korean esports teams will still participate in ENC as usual. This means Faker and the LCK stars will not be absent if they are selected.

On forums like FmKorea and Naver, many fans believe this outcome was predictable. ENC is also a tournament hosted by Saudi Arabia and is part of the same system as EWC. Given EWC’s investments in this event, a fallout between KeSPA and ENC organizers would benefit no one.

– Even ENC has to “respect” KeSPA?

– Clearly, this is the best outcome for all parties.

– Good news for Esports.

But Faker and Players Must Maintain Consistent Performance

Not only Faker, but any player hoping to be selected by KeSPA must meet requirements regarding skill and consistency. Currently, KeSPA has many options, but no one knows when players might have ups and downs. Therefore, maintaining consistent performance is very difficult but critically important for all players, including Faker.
