A T1 Player Not Meeting Expectations
Thus, it is yet another victory for T1 as they maintain hope of keeping pace with the top teams before entering the final week of the first round of the LCK 2026 group stage. However, one must face a reality: this was an incredibly hard-fought win for T1, even though their opponent was BRO, who is struggling at the bottom half of the standings. In T1’s victory, while some stars shone at the right moment, one player remains “lost,” namely Peyz.

In both games, Peyz was given popular AD champions and was especially supported by teammates to reach his power spikes, but his contribution was severely limited. In game 2, Peyz’s Caitlyn had plenty of items by the late game, and T1 was even ready to play “best AD.” However, even so, Peyz mispositioned at least twice, allowing BRO to regain some advantages towards the end of the match despite Teddy losing lane from the start. As for game 1, it just emphasized Teddy’s lackluster performance compared to Peyz.

Meanwhile, since the day Peyz joined T1, fans have hoped that the young superstar, who previously played for Gen.G, would maximize his strengths: dealing damage effectively in team fights and being able to play a variety of champions. However, so far, versatility in champion selection is a must, while the first aspect… needs to be reconsidered.
Peyz continues to show effort, right from the KeSPA Cup and later in the LCK Cup 2026. However, as the bot lane has become a hotspot, Peyz’s laning weaknesses have been glaring. He even traded evenly with LazyFeel – a player who is significantly less skilled and experienced than Peyz.

T1 Needs Peyz to Regain His Peak Form
For many, T1’s ups and downs in the group stage may seem normal. However, at this moment, they cannot be complacent as many teams are showing greater ambition for titles than before, and their gameplay is better than T1’s. Peyz remains an important pillar, but he needs to regain his form rather than T1 constantly relying on the top lane or Keria’s unpredictability to secure victories.
