Ruler continues to share new insights about his situation
One of the most controversial incidents in the League of Legends community, and arguably the loudest drama at the start of the season, is undoubtedly Ruler’s tax drama. However, even as Ruler and Gen.G have spoken out, the LCK community in particular and the League of Legends community in general still feel dissatisfied. This is because the parties involved only seem to respond when the situation has nearly cooled off. Moreover, no punishment has been issued against Ruler. Recently, the Gen.G marksman has shared new thoughts on the matter.
According to Ruler, “Honestly, up to now, I still don’t know what punishments will be applied. However, no matter what form of discipline is handed down, I will be ready to accept it.”
Ruler’s comments leave the LCK community disheartened
Many opinions suggest that with the Gen.G marksman speaking out like this, it’s almost certain that no punishment will be issued, or if there is, it will be much lighter than what the fans desire. Previously, Gen.G announced that they would take action based on the final ruling from the authorities. However, from this, it has also become clear that Ruler’s situation has already been resolved. And if the authorities do not impose any penalties, Gen.G will likely follow suit.
Furthermore, the LCK 2026 Rounds 1-2 have entered the second phase, followed by the playoffs. Gen.G is not performing as well as the team’s strength and the audience’s expectations. Therefore, even if they face “backlash,” it seems the story of Ruler will quietly come to an end.
