VCS Player “Falls from the Peak to the Depths”, Seeks Help
Over a year ago, the VCS community was incredibly excited when player Tlong was announced to join the Fredit BRION roster (the predecessor of OKSavingsBank Brion) but was placed in the Challengers team. This starting point for Tlong was unprecedented as the LCK is known for its reluctance to use foreign players. However, everything that followed was disappointment.

Returning to the VCS, Tlong was also not utilized. Even during the explosive “32 players” incident, teams did not look his way. In fact, during the last days of 2024, according to some observations, Tlong publicly posted a story “seeking help” to find opportunities for the new season. This is truly unfortunate for a player who was once highly rated and held great expectations from fans due to his reputation for “studying abroad in the LCK”.

The VCS Community Also Responds Harshly
However, the reaction from the VCS audience has been quite “brutal”. Specifically, many opinions state that Tlong’s greatest weakness is, ironically, the most important factor in any team: communication skills. He is too closed off and even when playing games with other VCS players, still speaking Vietnamese, Tlong remains “silent as a mouse”. This is a major red flag, especially in a team-centric game like League of Legends.
Furthermore, Tlong’s skill level is not exceptional as he has not reached Challenger rank in Korea during his time in the LCK. And upon returning to the VCS, he has not proven himself either. Clearly, Tlong was given opportunities, but the current outcome is more a result of his own “self-destruction” than external factors.

And currently, LCP teams have finalized their rosters while the VCS remains a question mark for the next season. If Tlong continues to be unemployed like this, it could be a huge regret for him, as well as a waste for the VCS.
